Ward J. Mazzucco practices real estate and land use and business law, and civil litigation. He previously served on the Zoning and Inland Wetlands Commissions in Danbury, and now frequently represents clients before land use agencies throughout Western Connecticut. His land use clients include developers, neighborhood organizations, and municipal agencies. He also counsels contractors, design professionals, and real estate brokers. He also handles commercial and residential real estate transactions, mortgage financing, leases, construction issues, and all aspects of condominium law. Mr. Mazzucco has lectured on a number of construction and land use topics and is a member of the Planning and Zoning Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.

Mr. Mazzucco also represents entities in businesses as diverse as manufacturing, health care, telecommunications, and consulting, for which he drafts corporate documents including contracts and employment manuals. He counsels them on issues ranging from trade regulation to managed care and from franchising to corporate governance. He has served as an expert witness on business and real estate issues.

Mr. Mazzucco also helps to resolve many real estate and business disputes, through negotiation, arbitration, mediation or litigation. He tries cases in the Connecticut Superior Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and handles appeals in the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He also handles arbitration of construction, employment, securities, and franchise matters.

Bar Admissions

Mr. Mazzucco is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Florida and various Federal jurisdictions, including the United States District Courts for Connecticut and the Southern District of New York, and the United States Tax Court and Court of Claims.

Education

Mr. Mazzucco received his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell University in 1978 and a B.A. in American History from Brown University in 1975.
